The University of Vermont and State Agricultural college is a public research University. The University of Vermont is one of the oldest universities of USA and is known as the fifth institution of higher education established in New England. The institution is among the original eight Public Ivy institutions in US. University of Vermont is ranked number 92 in Best National Universities.
The University offers Merit-based Scholarships for undergraduate International students.
The scholarships are divided under two groups i.e.
For out-of-state International students
Out-of-state International students don’t hold residency of Vermont. The scholarships offered to them are:
International Distinction Scholarship:
The value of this scholarship per year is $18,000.
International Excellence Scholarship:
The value of this scholarship per year is $13,000.
International Merit Scholarship:
The value of this scholarship per year is $8,000.
DETAILS FOR OUT-OF-STATE SCHOLARSHIP:
The applicants will be sorted out on basis of their academic outcomes of achievements.
Each scholarship carries a duration of four years(eight semesters)
Residents of Vermont are ineligible for these scholarships.
In order to remain eligible, a 2.4 GPA in 1st year and a minimum of 3.0 GPA in further years with an achievement of 12 credits per year is required.
FOR IN-STATE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Scholarships regarding Under-graduate programs are available for residents of Vermont are given below:
Vermont Scholars Award:
The value of this scholarship is $6,000-$7,000 per year.
Patrick Family Scholarships:
The value of this scholarship per year is $4,000-$5,000
Justin Morrill Scholarships:
The value of this scholarship is $2,000 per year.
DETAILS FOR IN-STATE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
The students will be awarded the following scholarships on the basis of their academics.
Out-of-state international students are ineligible.
Submission of application isn’t required.
Each scholarships is based on four years(eight semesters)
For attaining eligibility, the student must score 2.8 GPA in 1st year and a 3.0 GPA in the upcoming years along with the achievement of 12 credits per year
